Working with Logitope means you have flexible access to additional personnel with experience in all common processes of the translation industry. Translation Project Support

Much of our activity is related to facilitating the translation of files that are not compatible with CAT software, e.g. the conversion of scanned documents into MS Word or the extraction of the text content of a file into a MS Word table. If left to the translator, such work can lead to a significant increase in cost. With us, the cost relative to the total cost of translation is usually in the single-digit percentage area (for price examples, see the conversion page or our leaflet on translating PDF files).

CAT-based Typesetting

When using CAT tools, Logitope supports the typesetting process from the generation of bilingual files (e.g. TTX) to the actual typesetting, editing of embedded images, and implementation of changes to the translation, if required. The project manager will first look through the files to identify text parts not included in the bilingual files (such as text in images, flowcharts, or headers/footers) and try to anticipate potential problems. We regularly work in InDesign, FrameMaker and QuarkXPress and use Windows as well as MacOS systems.

Translation

We offer translations exclusively between English, Chinese, and German. Translation companies outsource to us because they are looking for consistent quality, professionalism, reliability and better access to skilled Chinese translators. Our prices for translation are only marginally above comparable rates on the freelance market.
